about

This is the second and last vocal Hip-Hop album I'll ever release publicly. Ironically like my debut, this project had many monkey wrenches involved. When I spoke to Wodoo Wolcan about wanting to create a goodbye album, he gladly offered a handful of production to exhale on. I was excited because he's the only producer I personally know that gets it right damn near every time. He knew my sound and gave me beautiful music to work with but then bullshit happened. I was planning for this to release originally in June, but my laptop crashed and erased both my finalized recordings along with the files from Wodoo. I was fucking devastated and at a time didn't even think of rerecording it. But I was very sad over the summer anyway and with the memories that sadly trailed along in my mind played the Wodoo's production he had gave me for the album. I reached out to him again to resend me them all and in two months I completed the project after I retrieved the beats. I couldn't be more happier for this version to be released versus the original. I mean, most tracks are written the exact same but with simple differences it furthers the magic of Wodoo Wolcan's already perfect ear for a beat. Once again like my debut, I couldn't give a fuck less how lo-fi the final result sounds or how greatly it's mixed. It suits the content. It suits the feeling. Every "flaw" a critic would point out is probably an intentional action made by myself. This is my last album for that very reason, being that I never could get signed with the sound that I have. It's all about surface these days with both labels and consumers instead of both surface and interior. It's depressing and I refuse to be a part of what Hip-Hop is becoming. This album is sonically beautiful to me and like the debut it's spitting image of my reality and thoughts. I thank Wodoo Wolcan solely for allowing me to create a great goodbye. I love him and am very grateful for him allowing such a voice in myself to project to everyone's speakers. So in summary, I hope you get lost in this project. I hope it creates an alternate reality for you to sink into to forget reality for a while. Thank you for listening.
